A very unpleasant situation completely destroyed my trust in this site. The room we booked through Booking in Lisbon turned out to be absolutely uninhabitable. We immediately contacted support — instead of resolving the issue promptly, they told us to wait 48 hours. This is absurd when the situation requires urgent action. After the waiting period, nothing was done. Follow-up calls only confirmed the total incompetence of the staff: no one could make a decision, conversations went in circles, and we received empty promises. We lost money not only on the terrible accommodation but also on international roaming charges trying to get help. The final outcome was a ridiculous €25 compensation, while the total damage was over €200. Written messages were completely ignored. Booking takes no responsibility for the services it advertises, does not verify its partners, and offers no real help when things go wrong.
