How do you track where you've been?

Does anyone have an app they like that maps your travels?
I wish I could make a custom google map with my GPS track in a city, and add pinpoints to it, like restaurants, attractions, etc.
So far, most of the apps I've seen are not really aimed at being able to go home and look at old data on your computer monitor

I don't know of any specific apps, but I did notice that you can create lists in Google maps and make them public or private.

I thought that might be an easy way to keep track of your travels.

I’ve been using Polarsteps for tracking my travels, it records your route automatically and lets you add notes and photos. You can view everything on a bigger screen later. For custom maps with GPS tracks and pins, maybe try Gaia GPS or My Maps by Google.
