I’m starting to plan a trip for November

Hi everyone,

I’m starting to plan a trip for November and would love some suggestions. I’m looking for a country that offers a good mix of culture, history, and food without being too crowded with tourists. I’ve heard Italy can be a great choice this time of year because the weather is cooler but still nice, especially in the south. Cities like Rome, Florence, and Venice are less busy, and there are seasonal food festivals with truffles and wine.

Has anyone here traveled in Italy in November? How was your experience? Also, if you’ve been to other countries around Europe during this month—like Spain, Portugal, or Switzerland—I’d love to hear your recommendations. I’m open to both cultural city trips and some light nature exploring.

Thanks in advance for your tips!

Hi @Mia li ,

I did an Italy trip in November and it turned out to be one of my favorites — cooler weather, fewer crowds, and incredible seasonal food everywhere. If you want one solid recommendation, I’d go for Rome plus a couple of days in Florence. Rome has all the history and energy, and Florence feels cozy and perfect for food lovers that time of year.

If you want an alternative, Portugal is also great in November — mild weather, great food, and not too busy.

Either way, November is a fantastic month to explore!
