Nairobi Kenya
Have you thought about experiencing Kenya beyond the more crowded safari circuits???

I'd recommend considering an 9-day route through Meru- Samburu-Lake Nakuru-Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria.

Meru offers beautiful wilderness, excellent wildlife viewing, and far fewer vehicles than many of Kenya's better-known parks.

Samburu adds unique northern species, striking landscapes, and fascinating cultural experiences.
From there, Lake Nakuru provides excellent rhino sightings, while Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria are perfect for birdwatchers, scenic walks, hot springs, and a more relaxed pace.

A suggested itinerary could be:

- Day 1-2: Meru National Park
- Day 3-5: Samburu National Reserve
- Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park
- Day 7: Lake Baringo
- Day 8: Lake Bogoria
- Day 9: Return to Nairobi

It's a rewarding alternative to the busier routes, combining wildlife, birding, landscapes, and local culture while spending more time away from the crowds. African Breeze Tours (www.africanbreezetours.com)
wa: +254721463393 operates similar itineraries and may be a useful reference for planning logistics and travel times.

If you’d like to experience Kenya beyond the more crowded safari routes, consider a 9 day journey through Meru, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Lake Baringo, and Lake Bogoria.

Meru National Park is one of Kenya’s underrated gems, offering beautiful wilderness, excellent wildlife viewing, and a quieter experience with fewer vehicles.

From there, continue to Samburu for dramatic landscapes, unique northern species such as Grevy’s zebra and reticulated giraffe, and opportunities to experience local culture.

Lake Nakuru is a great stop for rhino sightings, while Lake Baringo and Lake Bogoria offer a slower pace with birdlife, scenic surroundings, boat experiences, and geothermal landscapes.

A suggested route:

• Day 1–2: Meru National Park
• Day 3–5: Samburu National Reserve
• Day 6: Lake Nakuru National Park
• Day 7: Lake Baringo
• Day 8: Lake Bogoria
• Day 9: Return to Nairobi

It’s a rewarding alternative to the classic circuits and gives a great mix of wildlife, scenery, birding, and culture without feeling rushed.

Local operators such as Majestic Kenya Safaris also arrange similar custom itineraries depending on budget and travel style.
