I’ve looked into this before and unfortunately the Suez Canal isn’t open for casual “transit” unless you’re on a vessel that’s actually registered to pass through. There’s no public ferry or passenger service that just takes you from Port Said to Suez via the canal.
If you just want to get between the two cities, the only realistic option is by land. For example, bus, private driver, or taxi. It’s a few hours by road depending on traffic and checkpoints.
Some people mention trying to hitch a ride on a ship, but that’s basically impossible these days because of security regulations. So yeah, land travel is the way to go.
