Design-wise, the place looks pretty impressive. The terminal was designed by Foster + Partners and blends a modern, glassy look with Khmer-inspired architecture and details. Inside you’ll find features like a 9‑metre Abhayamudra Buddha statue and hundreds of hand‑carved stone sculptures made by local artisans, which give the building a strong Cambodian identity instead of a generic “could-be-anywhere” feel. The layout focuses on short walking distances, lots of natural light, and easy sightlines, so navigation should be more straightforward than at older, more cramped terminals.
