You Won’t Believe How Bad Air Travel Still Is

Yeah, air travel is still a complete headache, and all the “we’re improving things” talk feels pretty hollow when you’re stuck in a security line watching your departure time evaporate.

What bugs me is how airports always end up turned into a political football. Whenever there’s a staffing issue, a shutdown fight, or some new big announcement, it’s regular travelers who get stuck dealing with the chaos. Nobody at 6 a.m. in a packed terminal cares about the spin. They just want the line to move and the flight to leave on time.

And honestly, the whole “golden age of travel” thing just sounds like slogan wallpaper at this point. If the airport is still overcrowded, TSA is stretched thin, and delays keep piling up, people are going to judge the system by what they actually experience, not by whatever polished talking point is being pushed that week.

At the end of the day, airport travel is one of those things where you can’t really fake competence. People notice immediately when it’s working, and they notice even faster when it isn’t.
