Kashmir? Sringar and its lake. Sleep in boat in lake. But you will be lucky if you can get there, I think. I dont know actual situation. Better to do treck in Ladakh.

Beaches in Cuta Bali are not white powder sand as in Thailand, but they are ok. Other part of Bali is also ok. In Lombok there is less tourist, so less tourist infrastruture. Cuta Lombok have nece beaches around reachable by motorbike. But with familly I would reconsider Gilli.
