ATM (cash points) OR cash exchange?

Hi

What is more convenient in Vientiane? Draw local currency from ATMs (cash points) or change Euros/Dollars at exchange offices? And where are the best exchanges rates? Proper banks or exchange offices? Thank you in advance. Cheers

You should be fine using ATMs in Vientiane. Just remember the highest note is 100,000 kip (about $8) so you do end up with piles of money. Having some US currency is always good for backup.
